PREFACE
We take great pleasure in presenting the book onStatistics to the students of the Second year Higher Secondaryclasses.This book has been written in conformity with therevised syllabus. The book is designed to be self-contained andcomprises of ten chapters and includes two new chaptersAssociation of attributes and Decision Theory. Besides theadditional (new) topics covered in this book, all the chaptershave been completely rewritten and simplified in many ways.The book covers the theoretical, practical and appliedaspects of statistics as far as possible in a clear and exhaustivemanner. Every chapter in this book explains the principlesthrough appropriate examples in a graded manner.
