 including foundation and corporate prospect research, clipping reports on corporate industry trends,heavy prospecting research on foundations, grants management and stewardship. This positionsupports a four-person CFR team, and responsibilities include everyday tasks such as filing,organization, data entry, errands, scheduling, some phones, but will also include a fair amount of research and writing. Interns are paid hourly. Work hours are flexible, but student must be available atleast 2 days a week for Summer 2011. Position starts in May 2011. Qualifications include strongorganizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, takes direction well, keen attention to detail, and proficiency using internet tools forresearch are a must. Previous work experience in an office setting or performing administrative dutiesis a plus. Graduate students and upperclassmen preferred, but will consider other applicants. Summer Internship Program (74 openings, $3500 stipend)
 Summer job opportunities for 74 college students are now available through the L.A. County ArtsInternship Program. Descriptions of and contacts for the internship positions are posted on the Arts
Commission’s website 
,click on ―Internships,‖then ―Opportunities for Students.‖ Graduating seniors who complete their undergraduate degrees by
September 1, 2011 are eligible, as well as undergraduates. Applicants must have completed at leastone semester of college by June 2011 and be currently enrolled in a community college or a four-yearuniversity. Applicants must be a resident of and/or attending school in Los Angeles County. Thepositions are for 10 weeks and pay $350 per week. Interns also take part in educational and artsnetworking activities. Through the program, interns gain real work experience to strengthen theirresumes and develop business skills that can be put to use in their future careers. Interested studentsshould act as soon as positions are posted, as there is stiff competition for a limited number of internships. Students apply directly to the organization offering the internship, not the ArtsCommission. The organizations make final candidate selections quickly as internships begin on May30. Internship positions close as soon as they are filled during the April 5 to May 16 recruitmentperiod.

The Emma L. Bowen Foundation was created in 1989 to prepare minority youth for careers in themedia industry. The summer internship is an 8-week, 40 hours per week, paid summer internship witha matching scholarship. There will be exposure to video, voice, data products, and procedure testing.The internship will take place in San Diego, CA. Qualified candidates must be ethnic minority,
