thiscaseonthebasisofMr.Ray'scharacter,18ratherthanthemeritsofitsevidence.AndgiventhelackofanyconnectionbetweenRoss's19opinionsandthefactsinevidence,suchprejudicewouldbeprofoundlyunfair.Ross'stestimony20mustbeexcluded.21Moreover,thetestimony-irrelevantandinflammatoryspeculationbyanindividual22whoseworrisomeagendaandtroubledpastfaroutrunhisvirtuallynon-existentqualifications-23woulddegradetheintegrityofthisCourtandimperil
