I shot a video , downloaded it into Movie Maker and finished it up. I then burned a DVD but when I played the DVD on the television, large sections of it appear blocky and have weird jumpy movements. Is there any way to fix this?

Go to http://www.youtube.com and create an account. Then login, and click on the yellow Upload button. Your video must be less than ten minutes and less than 100 megabytes. If your video is over a hundred megabytes, use Windows Movie Maker to save the movie at a lower level of quality and it won't take up as much space.

If you want to slow down a video, first drag it onto the Timeline or Storyboard (if it's not there already). Then right click on it on the Timeline or Storyboard and click on "Video Effects". In the window that pops up, click on "Slow Down Half" on the left and click on Add then click on OK.

You can't, BUT you can speed up videos, so you can speed up a song if you turn it into a video first. To do this, Create a new project. Import the song. Drag it onto the Timeline or Storyboard. Then create any title. It doesn't matter what the title says. On the timeline, click and drag the end of the title so it's the same length as the song. Then go to File and Save Movie and save your movie to your computer. Then, import the movie you just saved (the title with the song) and drag it onto the Timeline or Storyboard. Then right click on it and click on video effects. Then click on "Speed Up, Double" and click on Add. Then click on Okay. Then click on File and then Save Movie to save your sped up version of the movie to your computer. So now you have the song sped up, but it's the audio part of a movie that displays a random title. To remove that audio from the video of the title, import the sped up movie that you just saved, go to the Timeline, and drag the sped up movie onto the AUDIO section of the Timeline instead of the video section. Then go to File and Save Movie. Since there's no video on the the timeline, it'll save the audio only as an audio file (.WMA format), and it'll be sped up since the video it came from was sped up. A bit complicated, but it works.

Nope. You'll need to convert it, and for that, I recommend using a free media conversion program called MediaCoder. Download and install the free video conversion tool MediaCoder here: http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/get... te=sf&inf=1&file=MediaCoder-0.6.0.3932.exe (highlight address, and copy and paste it in the Address bar) Then, open MediaCoder and use it to convert your video into the MS-MP4 video format. The Xvid video format should also work. You will be able to import those formats into Windows Movie Maker.

Once the move has been exported (saved as a video file) then you cannot remove the subtitles, but you could use the zoom effect to zoom in so the subtitles are out of view. Or, if you saved your movie project as a Windows Media Player project file, you can open the project, remove the subtitles, and save the movie as a video file again.

Kris, if you liked the Windows XP SP2 version of Movie Maker better, install Windows Movie Maker 2.6, which is the XP SP2 version of Movie Maker made for Windows Vista. You can download Movie Maker 2.6 here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/de... I also link to the download page in the document.
