Update emergency locator files, and notify the S&S Coordinator, and AO or CD of changes required in theEmergency Action Plan (EAP).
Meet with GOC police and/or gendarmerie officials and keep them up-dated on Volunteer sites,
in coordination with the S&S Coordinator inform the appropriate police or gendarme authorities of anycrimes or other security problems related to Volunteers,
Assess PCV housing during site visits, and coordinate with APCDs to resolve any housing issues
Provide information as appropriate to the Safety & Security Coordinator on transportation infrastructure
Assist in coordinating projects at the regional level
Advise/assist Volunteers with counterpart relations particularly with regard to administrative and logisticalissues.
Procures small quantities of office supplies as needed.
Provide routine support and help problem-solve situations
Coordinate staff site visits and prepare an agenda/itinerary for them.
Maintain contact with the Medical Unit on PCV health issues (as confidentiality allows),
Maintain liaison between PCVs and assigned regional medical facilities (including lab-technicians andclinics)
Coordinate supplies distribution
Help with medical emergencies
Coordinate non prescribed (OTC) medications and medical consumable i.e. maintaining an inventory log
Provide regional perspective and expertise to the Senior Staff for site selection
Provide support for APCD visits to region in terms of coordinating meetings with GOC, NGOs, and otherpartners as well as coordinating with PCVs
Maintain as appropriate, regular contacts with NGO representatives, leaders in the area includingGovernors, Prefets, Mayors, Chefs de Canton, and Chefs du Village
Provide regular reports to the Country Director, Program & Training Officer, and other appropriate SeniorStaff on project progress and issues.
Provide coordination and administrative support for any training activities occurring in the Region includinglanguage immersion during and immediately following PST, IST activities, and on-going language training.
Ensures that the Volunteer mail is sorted and properly distributed;
Maintains liaison with other staff for information dissemination, clearances, correspondence and relatedprocedures, instructions, etc.;
Distributes notices, cables, faxes, and other correspondence to individuals including the CountryDirector as often as feasible.
Applicant must be a Cameroonian citizen, must not have been employed in intelligence-related activities, and must be ableto submit application that clearly documents how s/he meets each of the following qualifications:
University degree preferred OR the equivalent of education and experience
At least four years experience in activities noted in the basic function
Fluent in English and French with excellent communication skills in both;
Solid experience with Microsoft Word, Excel
