GiventhesecrecywithwhichtheAdministrationconducteditshealthcarereformnegotiations,thereisasubstantialpublicinterestinlearningmoreaboutthem.OnFebruary18,2011,wewrotetoMs.Nancy-AnnDeParle,theformerheadoftheWhiteHouseOfficeofHealthReform(WHOHR),requestinginformationrelatedtothosenegotiations.Inresponse,onMarch4,2011,Mr.RobertBauer,CounseltothePresident,sentusacollectionofpressreleasesandvisitorlogs"inanefforttoaddress[our]request."Thisinformationwasnotresponsivetoourrequest.AlthoughwewillmostcertainlypursuemoreinformationfromtheWhiteHouse,wearewritingtoyoubecauseamongthematerialsprovidedbyMr.BauerisavisitorlogentryindicatingameetingbetweenFAHrepresentativesandstaffoftheWhiteHouseregardinghealthcarereform.FAH'sinvolvementinthenegotiationsregardingthehealthcarereformle¥islationiswellknown.iAttachedisapartiallistofmeetingsFAHheldwithWhiteHousestaff.
