here at USF!USF St. Petersburg is the first university in the state of Florida to enact a Green Energy Fee of $1 per credit hour. Thisfee was inspired by the
Student Green Energy Fund
, a Florida student-led initiative (started in 2007) with the goal togive students at individual universities the right to vote on and approve a minimal fee to generate large sums of money for campuses to spend on energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. The Student Green Energy Fundwould allow for campuses to reduce their greenhouse gas footprint, energy bills, and leave a healthier, more energyefficient campus for future students. This is in effect at USF St. Petersburg for three years and then students willvote again on whether to keep it or not. Learn more at http://studentgreenenergyfund.org/
