SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR PARTICIPANTS TO THE 41st NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY COVENTION

Dear Sir/ Madam:

The Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (SOPI), a civic, non-profit, non-political, non-
sectarian and a professional organization has been spearheading for more than 50 years, in
the nationwide observance of the different field of safety, to sustain interest and awareness
of its importance in all levels and sectors of our society.

As part of our commitment, by providing road safety prevention and awareness pursuant to
the Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A, declaring the month of May as Road Safety Month,
the SOPI Road Safety Division has lined up activities in consonance with the same.

Our activity in Making Roads Safe is the Selection for Road Safety Advocates, namely: Search
for the Outstanding Transport Category, Outstanding Safety Drivers of the Philippines,
Outstanding Road Safety Programs, and Outstanding Road Safety Professionals/
Practitioners.

The highlight of the activities will be held on the 41st NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY CONVENTION
on May 12-14, 2011 at the A & A Plaza Hotel, Puerto Princesa, Palawan. The convention
with its theme, “Isang Daan… tungo sa Kaligtasan (One Road towards Safety)”, in support to
the Decade of Action Year 2011-2020. This event aims to bring together experts on road
safety to cover the local and foreign participants’ the current international road safety issues.
Interaction will hopefully generate workable ideas which can be translated into action plans
by both government and the private sector to further propel our country’s continuing
economic progress thru road safety discipline.

Please be informed further that SOPI is a CPE Provider Accredited by the Institute of
Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE) and the Philippine Institute of
Civil Engineers (PICE). Corollary to this, may we request for your participation by gracing the
occasion and/or sending as many delegates as possible to the convention.
