BAKE New Releases Boner May 10, 2011 Anthem Lights - Anthem Lights - Reunion - Provident For Anthem Lights—an innovative, high-energy pop four- some with soaring vocals and hearts bent on ministry—“Stranger” is more than another song. It’s an identity, a way of life they’ve embraced. It’s a powerful truth that impacts every decision they make, underscores every lyric they write, and every note they sing. It’s an im- portant message for misfits of any age, but especially for millions of teenagers struggling to find a well-lit place in an increasingly dark world. Building 429 - Listen to the Sound -Centricity- Provident Now after nearly a decade in the national spotlight, Build- ing 429 has teamed with Provident Music Group for their fifth album, Listen To The Sound. Blind Boys of Alabama - Take the High Road - Saguaro Road - Word This powerful new album explores the deep connections be- tween traditional country and gospel music. The concept for the collaboration started with orginal Blin Boy Jimmy Carter’s longstanding love f country music and his desire to do a traditional country-tinged gospel album. The result is a remarkable recording fo 13 songs, some time-tested and some brand new. This album has the soulful feel of an old- school country-gospel classic. New Releases BORER May 10, 2011 Troy Sneed - My Heart Says Yes - Taseis - Word At first listen to the chart topping (Top 5) Billboard Hot Gospel Songs radio hit and title track “My Heart Says Yes” one might say Troy Sneed has reinvented his traditional praise & worship sound from past radio hits such as “Halle- lujah” and “Work It Out” to a milder, more contemporary collection of intimate acoustic performances. However, the melodies on Sneed’s new release are simply the results of this singer, songwriter, musician and GRAMMY nominated producer giving God and the world the best he has to offer. With an extraordinarily pitch perfect falsetto, compared to Maxwell and Robin Thicke by gospel radio programmers na- tionwide, Troy has created ear candy for the worshipper! Also, Sneed rekindles his gifts of playing piano and guitar displaying a depth that will supremely bless fans, new and old. Sneed pulls on the listener’s heartstrings with an un- plugged extended version of the title cut “My Heart Says Yes” as well as unplugged versions of “Glorify The Lord” and “Holy Is The Lamb.” Aware of the large fan base estab- lished by the success of his previous up tempo hit Hallelu- jah), Sneed offers a similar praise filled tune entitled Great Jehovah” a fun filled retro reminder of good ‘ole’ gospel music that continues to be the foundation of all music. Glen Galaxy - Thankyou - Great Comfort - Word In every way, “Thankyou” reminds me of David, the David that had some issues with a guy named Goliath. His songs were written to and for God alone. None were written for praise and worship albums or compilations of for congrega- tions. He was just a boy pourin-out his heart ot his Father. When you hear Glen’s awesome rhythms and lyrics with glen even laughing in the middle of the song and haivng way too much fun. If you like Dylan’s “Slow Train Coming” and Danielson’s “Ships” and Sufjan’s “Seven Swans” and maybe, “Deep Calls to Deep,” you’ ll love “Thankyou.”
