We will use high quality, long lasting materials and design sustainable features like rain cisterns and educational signage that will further enhance the park and the community's use of the space. Landscaping for the New Green Space at Federal & Republican Neighbors from all over Capitol Hill have been working together toward the goal of transforming the empty lot at Federal Ave E and E Republican Street into an inviting and vibrant park space. Build Your Block would help with the initial landscaping needs for this addition of green space in our neighborhood. Centralized Information Kiosk to Share Capitol Hill Neighborhood Happenings Capitol Hill is a vibrant, diverse, active neighborhood with many concerts, art shows, activities and events going on. To announce these to each other, we often post flyers on trees and streetlight poles, which aren't designed for that purpose. We would benefit from having a single, large kiosk located centrally in the neighborhood specifically dedicated for people to post information, while keeping our trees clean.
