Lamb, under oath, affirm that: 1 Tam a student at the University of Wisoonsin Law School and working for the Wisoonsin Janocence Project of the Frank J, Remington Center. 2, In this capacity, under the supervision of attorney Byron Lichstein, 1 spoke with Detective Jodi Gonterman. 3, On June 15, 2009, Kame Hukee, another student at the University of Wisconsin, who also is soaking for te Wiseoasin innocence Project ofthe Frank J. Remington Center, ené | called Detective Gonterman 4, During the interview, Detestive Gonterman stated that Lisa told her that “if ‘anything ever happens to me, I went you to have custody of the kids.” 5, Detective Gonterman stated that Lise said this “out of the blue” and that this statement Was not a ee Gecmuse Detective Gonterman ever wanted custody of Lisa's children. This statement slways made Detective Gonterman wonder if William murdered Lisa. +7. Additionally, Detective Goaterman confirmed her conversetion with Branks, during which Detective Gonterman told Branks that Lisa said, if anything ever happened to me, Detective Gonterman should look at William. 8, Dét. Gonterman described William as manipulative, controlling, end very oppress Vt towards Lise According to Det. Gonterman, the family was like the “stepford wives.” Det. Gontstman stated that Lisa had no friends and wes always at home, Det. Gonterman Was ‘concerned for Tias's children boceuse William completely brainwashed them, Det, Gonterman also remembers exer —& when she had to make’ Lisa go to the police because there were bruises on Lise’s child, Charmous, from William. 9, In onder to find Det. Gonterman, Nate Otis, another student atthe University of Wisconsin, wwho previously worked forthe Wisconsin Innocence Project ofthe Frank J. Remington Center researched her name on LexisNexis and People Finder Pro. The Wisconsin Innocence Project also used a private investigator, Michael Branks, who accessed additional databases to find a phone number and address for Det. Gonterman, 10. To obtain information about William Kindred, Nate Otis, Attomey Byron Lichstein, Deputy Director of the Frank J, Remington Center and Private Investigator Michael Branks traveled to Roseville, Michigan to review documents. 11. In addition, Kame Hukee and I spoke with and filed two Freedom of Information Act requests with the Roseville Police Department to obtain additional complaints against William Kindred. Branks, under oath, aftirm that: 1, Lam a Criminal Defense Investigator working for the Trial Division of the Wisconsin Public Defender’s Office, a Polygraph Examiner for the Wisconsin Public Defender's Officer, a Licensed Private Detective, and a Certified Legal Investigator. I work on a pro bono basis for the ‘Wisconsin Innocence Project. 2, At the request of Attorney Byron Lichstein, an attomey for the Wisconsin Innocence Project, I made contact with Charmous F, Skinner, Sr. on May 28", 2009. Mr. Skinner, St. is the father of C.J, Skinner, who witnessed the murder of his mother, Lisa, when he was eight years old, I was, interested in talking to C.J. about what he observed that night because there was no indication in the police file that he was ever interviewed about his mother’s murder. 3, After speaking to Mr. Skinner, Sr., other family members became interested that I was investigating the murder of Lisa Kindred. I received a call on the morning of the 29" from Detective Jody Gonterman of the Albuquerque, New Mexico Police Department. Detective Gonterman identified herself as the sister of Lisa Kindred. 4, After identifying myself as a Criminal Defense Investigator working for the Trial Division of the State Public Defender and volunteering my time to the UW-Law School Innocence Project, Detective Gonterman agreed to speak with me. She stated that William was manipulative, controlling, and very oppressive towards Lisa. Detective Gonterman stated that William would require Lisa to do certain things, such as cleaning and cooking, in a very specific way. Detective Gonterman also remembered a conversation she had with Lisa in which Lisa stated, out of the blue and with no prompting, that if anything ever happened to her, Detective Gonterman should suspect William es being responsible. EXHIBIT H 5, Detective Gonterman was not eager to assist my investigation or to implicate William Kindred, I did not suggest or pressure her to do so. Her statements and demeanor during my conversation with her did not suggest any motivation to falsely implicate William Kindred.
