Steven Diaz
and I will beyour facilitator for the next 7.5 weeks.I was born in Brooklyn, NY but raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. I currently live in the sunny city of Miami,FL.My academic background is a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from University of Puerto Rico andMaster of Science in Mathematics Education from Nova Southeastern University. I am currentlypursuing a Doctor of Education with a specialization in Educational Technology Management atNorthcentral University (NCU).I currently work as a full-time math instructor for St. Thomas University and as an adjunct for Axia Collegeof University of Phoenix. I also worked as an adjunct math instructor for DeVry University. My nextprofessional and personal goals are to complete my doctoral studies, to become a tenured facultymember for St. Thomas University, to write articles about math education and educational technology,and to teach/trained math teachers to use technology in their classroom practice.For 12 years, I taught math at the middle and high school levels. I have taught at the college or universitylevel for the last 4+ years.
I believe everyone is capable of learning mathematics, and I canhelp them avoid their anxieties when learning and doing this subject matter
