Parents Night Out
– On Saturday, May 7

from 2:30 PM to 6:30PM, the Cedar Church Senior High will provide childcare for allthe little children of Cedar Church and any children of friends of Cedar members here at Hudsonville Christian Elementary School.All donations will help finance their mission trip to NavajoMinistries in Farmington, New Mexico in July. A kid friendlysupper of hot dogs, mac-n-cheese and fruit will be provided.Please RSVP with Lynn Igo to let us know how many kids you'dlike to bring.
Pinewood Derby & Spaghetti Dinner
– On Wednesday May 11
th
 at 7 PM, our Cadets Club will host a Pinewood Derby Race atchurch. Anyone interested in joining them to construct a new caror race an old car that night should see Ted Himebook for a kit.The entire church is invited to attend a spaghetti dinner served byCedar Youth that night, followed by this exciting “first ever” race.
ANNOUNCEMENTSRoad Rally & Scavenger Hunt
– Please reserve Saturday, May14 at 6:30 PM for an all church (school age and up) road rally &scavenger hunt. A nursery will be provided for younger children.Please sign up on the bulletin board in the front entry. We willneed to know how many are coming, their ages, and if you arelevel-headed enough to be a driver for this competitive event! Kent County Jail Ministry
– On Sunday, May 29

, Cedar Churchwill host our

Sunday
chapel service at the Kent County Jailfrom 12:45 PM - 2:15 PM. Please keep this ministry in yourprayers.
Young Adult Summer Camping Weekend
– On June 10-12,post-high young adults (& graduating seniors) from across thepresbytery are invited to a weekend campout on the back dunesand hardwood forest of Muskegon State Park in WesternMichigan. Pastor Bob Van Manen (Little Farms OPC) will jointhe campers, leading them in Bible Study, and prayer time. LittleFarms OPC will host the young adults for the closing worshipservice and fellowship meal at their church in Coopersville onSunday morning. Cost of the trip is $25/participant. School Building Reminders
– The school building will soon bevacant for the summer. However, let’s continue to be good stewardsand thoughtful tenants of the building. Here are a few reminders:1.
 
Children should neither run nor wander through the school buildingafter services. We have a wonderful playground where that can beenjoyed.2.
 
Please respect all school property stored in the hallway and inclassrooms. When in doubt, ask yourself “Would a HCS schoolteacher allow a student to do this during a normal school day?”
OPC Family Camp
- We are making plans for another great familycamp this year, August 8-12. Registration forms are now available inthe church foyer and will be accepted in the order they are received.There will be a $50 discount for all who register prior to May 1

Reimbursement Forms
– Check reimbursement forms are availableon the literature table. If you need reimbursement for any churchexpenses, please fill out the form, attach your receipt and give it toour church treasurer, Sam Mason, for his signature. It will then go toour bookkeeper, Deb Kooienga, who will then cut you a check.
Blood Drive
- Please give blood at Hillcrest C.R.C. (3617 HillcrestRd., Hudsonville) on Friday, May 13. Walk-in hours are 11:30 AM -5:15 PM. Appointments can be made by calling 1-800-448-3543.Good hydration and food within four hours before giving blood isrecommended. Michigan permits 16-year-olds with a signed parentalconsent form to donate. Download and print this formathttp://redcrossblood.org/students/sixteen. All donors must weigh atleast 110 pounds and be in good health. Those donating thismonth could win up to $250 in groceries next month.
