The scene begins with a shot of a cargo plane flying over the ocean below, but it beginning to cross over an icy landmass. The shot then goes to the inside where we see all of our returnees strapped into cargo seats in the back of the plane. It is reminiscent of 4.12when the O6 returned to civilization. The camera pans onto each person. Jack, Kate holding Aaron, Sun, Hurley, Sayid, Walt, Christine, Ben, Desmond, Penny and finally CharlesWidmore (who appears to be sleeping or sedated). They all have a look of unease on their face as the plane begins to descend. Jack screams over to Penny because the plane is very loud:
Jack:
How did you manage to secure this place?!
Penny:
I had people posted down here looking for Desmond's sailboat when he went missing!
Desmond:
She tricked me by having her uncle'swife give me a boat with a tracking deviceon it!
Kate:
Good work, Penny!
Sayid:
So, the men you have stationed down there, they're still there?!
Penny:
The one is, the other went missing!
Penny looks at her father after she says this. The camera shows Charles then back toPenny. The flash sound begins.
2) --FLASH-- EXT. PARK IN LONDON. SAME PLACE CHARLES MET WITH NAOMI IN 5.1. DAY.
Penny is walking toward a man who is sitting on a bench in the park. He is sitting in thesame spot Naomi was sitting when Charles met her in 5.1. Penny walks up to him (very reminiscent of the scene in 5.1). Penny sits down next to him.
Penny:
Hello, Mathias.
Mathias:
(with a Portuguese accent)
Hello, Ms. Widmore.
Penny:
That was excellent work finding Desmond...Thank you again.
Mathias takes an envelope that Penny handed him. He opens it and there is a largeamount of British currency inside. He closes the envelope and puts it on the inside of hiscoat. He looks at Penny very seriously.
Mathias:
Ms. Widmore, I don't want to alarm you, but I think I've been followed since I arrived inLondon.
Penny:
No doubt my father. He's probably watching me. Go back to Manchester to your fiance. I'lltake care of my father.
Mathias and Penny get up and Penny shakes his hand. The scene cuts to:
3)--FLASH CONT-- INT. PARKING GARAGE. LONDON. DAY.
Mathias is walking to his car in a parking garageas a group of men come out of nowhereand overpower him and blindfold him. They take him to a Limo where Charles Widmore getsout and notices a man on the level above. The camera shows the spy and it is Tom! Tom isvideotaping the kidnapping of Mathias. Widmore gets into the Limo after Mathias is shoved in. Widmore removes the blindfold and Mathias looks at him in fear.
Charles:
You broke the deal.
Mathias:
She came to me, she begged!
Charles:
Thanks to you, I have to worry about my daughter finding the island. That is not how thiswas supposed to work. Did I not give you enough money to betray Linus?
Mathias:
I just...
Charles:
Don't answer that. You located the island, but not the precise location. I should kill you, butI'm going to use you as an incentive.
Mathias:
Incentive?
Charles:
Naomi. She can fly a helicopter and now that I have you she has an interest at stake.
Mathias:
If you hurt her, I will kill you!
Charles:
No-one's going to get hurt... not if they can follow orders. First, tell me something... theelectromagnetic anomaly you detected... from when you worked on the island for Linus, canyou tell if it is was from the island? Was it as big as the incident in '79 or was it muchsmaller... from say, a man made device?
Mathias:
I don't understand.
Charles is losing patience and he takes Mathias by the throat and speaks clearly and directly to him.
Charles:
How big was the anomaly?!
