– On Wednesday May 11

at6 PM, our Cadets Club will host a Pinewood Derby Race at church.The entire church is invited to attend a spaghetti dinner served byCedar Youth that night, followed by this exciting “first ever” race.
Road Rally & Scavenger Hunt
– Please reserve Saturday, May 14 at6:30 PM for an all church (school age and up) road rally & scavengerhunt. A nursery will be provided for younger children. Please signup on the bulletin board in the front entry. We will need to knowhow many are coming, their ages, and if you are level-headed enoughto be a driver for this competitive event! Graduation Sunday

chapel service at the Kent County Jail from12:45 PM - 2:15 PM. Please keep this ministry in your prayers.
Young Adult Summer Camping Weekend
– On June 10-12, post-high young adults (& graduating seniors) from across the presbyteryare invited to a weekend campout on the back dunes and hardwoodforest of Muskegon State Park in Western Michigan. Pastor Bob VanManen (Little Farms OPC) will join the campers, leading them inBible Study, and prayer time. Little Farms OPC will host the youngadults for the closing worship service and fellowship meal at theirchurch in Coopersville on Sunday morning. Cost of the trip is$25/participant. School Building Reminders
– The school building will soon bevacant for the summer. However, let’s continue to be good stewardsand thoughtful tenants of the building. Here are a few reminders:1.
 
Children should neither run nor wander through the school buildingafter services. We have a wonderful playground where that can beenjoyed.2.
 
Please respect all school property stored in the hallway and inclassrooms. When in doubt, ask yourself “Would a HCS schoolteacher allow a student to do this during a normal school day?”

– Check reimbursement forms are availableon the literature table. If you need reimbursement for any churchexpenses, please fill out the form, attach your receipt and give it toour church treasurer, Sam Mason, for his signature. It will then go toour bookkeeper, Deb Kooienga, who will then cut you a check.

- Please give blood at Hillcrest C.R.C. (3617Hillcrest Rd., Hudsonville) on Friday, May 13. Walk-in hoursare 11:30 AM -5:15 PM. Appointments can be made by calling 1-800-448-3543. Good hydration and food within four hoursbefore giving blood is recommended. Michigan permits 16-year-olds with a signed parental consent form to donate. Download andprint this form athttp://redcrossblood.org/students/sixteen. Alldonors must weigh at least 110 pounds and be in goodhealth. Those donating this month could win up to $250 ingroceries next month.

OPC Team to Japan

 Day #1 Report:
The team met up with CalCummings. He took us to see the damage to the home of a"seeker" of the Sendai church. She seemed quite moved to havethis team consider her need, shop for tools and material and thenreturn to repair her house (some beams had pulled apart from eachother). In the afternoon, we met with Pastor Yoshida, themoderator of the Northeast Presbytery and pastor of the Sendaichurch...along with two members of the RPCNA-Japan. We had avery fruitful discussion of what things we could be doing to help.Tomorrow, we drive north from Sendai.
