TECHNICAL PAPER PRESENTATION

TOPIC: EMBEDDED SYSTEMS SUB: AUTOMATION OF CAR
AUTHORS: S.BABA FARIDDINS.BUCHIBABU2/4BTECH;ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING

Abstract:
The technical Brilliance andDevelopments in different fields has led toa drastic change especially in thecommunication field. Devices withintelligence rule the world. Imbibingintelligence to these devices is through asystem called “EMBEDDED SYSTEMS”.It is the evolution or further developmentof the computing system. Its applications provide marvelous opportunities foingenious use of computer technology.Almost every new system introduced is anexample of Embedded System. Thesesystems are more intelligent andautonomous.Embedded Systems are combinations of hardware and software that are mountedon compact electronic circuit boardsintegrated into devices. They areengineered or intended to perform onespecific function in a specificenvironment. An important decision in thedesign of an embedded system is theselection of the processor(s) around whichthe rest of the system is to be built. It is achip that contains a microprocessor, somememory & I/O interface circuitry useful inembedded applications and is often calledan‘EMBEDDED PROCESSORor ‘MICRO CONTROLLER’chips as they perform important control functions, andare based on micro controller. The current topic
“Automation of car”
that we are going to present is one of thefine examples of Embedded System.
Autonomous car:
There are many paradigm shifts taking place due toinformation explosion and the concept of autonomous vehicle is one shift. The car, which is embedded, can simulate thehuman driver completely and direct thevehicle on the road. Autonomous vehicleis the drastic change in technical brillianceand developments in different fields with
EMBEDDED

SYSTEM
as pioneer.
Introduction:
The term embedded system isquite a complex one. Simply it is acombination of hardware and software thatforms the component of a larger system;this in turn is programmed to perform arange of dedicated functions usually witha minimal operator intervention. Inembedded systems the hardware isnormally unique to a given application;computer chips are embedded into thecontrol electronics to manage the productsfunctionality.

Embedded systems are rapidly becoming a catalyst for change incomputing data communications, telecommunications, industrial control andentertainment sectors. New innovativeapplications in these as well as other areassuch as home networking and cainfotainment will roll out in the near feature.
The fine art of automation:
We load the code of our destination in the dashboard computer andturn the car on, while we remain seatedcarefree on the rear seats. Then its all the job of the ‘unknown’ to drive it on theroads, bridges, thought the bazaars, pastthe crossings to the destination, withoutgetting challenged even once for trafficrule violations.A fully computerized car capable of doing almost every thing a car lover would want to. Almost allautomobiles will interact with computer on dashboards. From ordering pizza to booking tickets at the nearest theatre, things would be as easy as giving orders toyour servant. As a matter of fact, vehiclesall over the world are now fitted withintelligent devices that make the vehiclesto respond to various factors –be it climatecontrol, sudden accelerations or braking or even self-repair of modules. The finger print technologies have beenintroduced to enter and start your car withthe touch of a finger. The fingerprint, which is acting as a key, would trigger acheck of the mirrors, steering wheel, radioand temperature to ensure that they're theway you like them. The convenience of fingerprint recognition technology comeswith heightened security. Unlike personalidentification numbers, passwords andkeys, each person's unique fingerprintscan't be duplicated, lost or forgotten.
Description:
As stated above that a vehiclecan run by itself with out the interventionof human beings by the embeddedintelligence in it. For this purpose Global
