objectives and accomplishments. In addition, OPA isresponsible for the preparation and distribution of information to state and local officials, agencystakeholders, and the general public.Due to the high profile nature of the ICE mission, ICErelated stories remain prominently featured by mediaoutlets. Senior ICE officials and program managersmust be kept abreast of news coverage relating directlyor indirectly to the mission and operations of ICE as itrelates to major important news, legislative activity andoperations involving the agency. ICE leadership mustremain current of issues and trends that could impactICE in the future as well as issues raised in currentmedia stories being reported on a daily basis. To meetthis need, OPA requires services for clipping and mediamonitoring support.SCOPEImmigration and Customs Enforcement intends tooutsource the daily creation of a morning news briefingand media monitoring support. In support of ICE'smission, agency officials must start each day fullyinformed about important news printed and broadcastnationwide. ICE has determined that this will be bestaccomplished via preparation of an expert-edited dailybriefing that weaves together the important elements of news stories printed and broadcast nationwide rather than full- text articles or computer generatedsummaries. The items included are culled fromthousands of outlets daily and will be based on topics, events, and ICE programs that ICE officials haveidentified as important. Stories from Radio/Televisionnews that are broadcasted nationally and locally, andthat impact ICE and ICE programs must be included.SERVICES REQUIRED
