Dear This letter is being sent to you as an invitation, an invitation for you to make your mark as a pioneer in the next stepof journalism and culture blog evolution. Your contribution is desired to be a part of the latest addition to the onlinenews/blog world, CollegeTortch.com. CollegeTortch.com is a news aggregate site and blog hub for college students,by college students. The mission of this site is to create an online college paper which consolidates the articles of student journalists, photographers, fashion designers, artists, musicians, writers, and culture connoisseurs fromacross the nation. We are reaching out to you with the hope you will be inspired to lend your name to the list of contributors. Our vision when developing this website is to create a place that will act as information center for College students-by their peers; a platform for individuals to get exposure to broader audiences outside their campus; and morph thecurrent paradigm of large media outlet ideologically biased news, to an organic user generated forum where collegestudents from across the nation can exchange news, ideas, and happenings from their campuses. For too long the coming of age college generations have had to endure a ³trickle down´ news delivery system; beingexposed to the news, trends, opinions, and style of their peers via massive third party news outlets, or through theoccasional post on a Facebook page. CollegeTortch seeks to end this archaic model of information exchange.CollegeTortch has some of its modeling after sites such as The HuffingtonPost, The Daily Caller, and other variousnews/opinion sites. However, it adds a new dynamic to that current model; onsite user contribution. This site will allow students from the world over to upload video, articles, and pictures from campus sporting events, symposiums, art shows, concerts, and other various collegiate events taking place. CollegeTortch will be the site where theeveryday college student from USC to NC State and everywhere in between can post their spontaneous experiencesin this crazy life we call college.CollegeTortch is seeking ambitious, driven, and knowledgeable individuals to join our contributor ranks. These people will inform their generation, about their generation. They will add their work to the digital press and exposetheir writing to the masses, publications, and potential future employers. We hope you will add your name to this list.Sincerely, Adam Ornelas and Marcos Marsical Founders and Contributors
