UK sees incremental decrease in job vacancies.
“The UK’s manufacturing sector experienceda seven-month low in April,” said Gautam Godhwani, CEO of SimplyHired.com. “This slowdown,combined with the Easter and Royal Wedding holidays, contributed to a 1.5% decrease in jobvacancies across the country.”
Swansea, Belfast, Aberdeen experience high job growth.
The top cities for job creation inApril were all outside of England, with Swansea showing the highest rate of job growth at 18.9%.Belfast, at 16.2% growth, and Aberdeen, at 14.5% growth, followed closely behind.
Brighton job vacancies drop more than 30%.
Despite Britain’s early summer and record hightemperatures during the month of April, summer hot spot Brighton did not see a correspondingincrease in seasonal jobs. The city saw the largest decrease in job vacancies at 31.2%.
