THE LOVE FAMILY

The Love Family was regular Sunday morning attendees. Mrs. Love
would get the family up in the morning, fix breakfast, and then make
sure everyone was in the car by 9:15 a.m. in order that they could be
on their way.

Mr. Love waited patiently in the car for all the kids to get inside so he
could get to church as he was recently promoted to deacon for the
congregation.

On the way to church, they argued about who got to sit by the
window, what restaurant they were going to eat at following church,
where they were taking the summer vacation and so on. By the time
the Love family got into the church door, the baby had spit all over
Mrs. Love, Mr. Love had vanished to take his position as a greeter,.
and the kids ran to their classes – late as usual.

Does this scenario seem familiar? We hurry to church, argue about

trivial matters, arrive upset, and then sit in church to hear about the
blessings of the Lord. Love is patient, kind, good, full of mercy, and
always understanding – or is it?

God sent His Son, Jesus, to us that we might have peace abundantly.
We can then pass this peace on to others through our actions. The
way we treat others will define the amount of love that we have
allowed God to infiltrate within our hearts. Let us show greater love
and compassion toward those who are less fortunate, less lovable,
and sometimes even less likeable – Jesus did!
