DRAMATIZATION
DEFINITION
• It is part of the process of language learning. It
allows children to own the simple and
mechanical language they use by involving
their personalities. This personalization makes
language more meaningful and memorable
than drilling or mechanical repetition can.
ADVANTAGES
• The technique is simple and can be done
by teachers without prior experience.
• It encourage children to speak gives
them the chance to communicate, even
with limited language.
• To stimulate learners’ intellect and
imagination

helps in dealing with unfamiliar

DISADVANTAGES
• Students may see this as a frivolous and
entertaining exercise.
• These can be time consuming both in
preparation, playing and debriefing.
• Threat of simplification can result in
failure to make optimum use of
knowledge.

• Choose the right activity.(age, type of


activity, aims)
• Start small.
• Give feedback
• Make it formal and more orderly.
• Ideas should reflect the knowledge and
understanding of the group
