About the Border Network forHuman Rights
The Border Network for Human Rights(BNHR) is one of the leadingimmigration reform and human rightsadvocacy organizations in the UnitedStates. Based in El Paso, Texas, theBNHR has a membership of more than700 families, or close to 4,000individuals, in West Texas and SouthernNew Mexico.The BNHR's mission is to organizeborder communities through humanrights education and to mobilize ourmembers to ignite change in policy andpractice, in particular when it comes toresponsible border policy, the respect of human rights and civil rights on theborder and law enforcement practices onthe border. The strength of the BNHRlies in its grassroots organizing and itswillingness to work within the system tobring about change.
