Creative Brief/ Bamboo Bike Project
1) Background / Overview:
The Bamboo Project is a charity, which builds organic cargo bikes in third worldcountries, such as Ghana, Africa, etc. The charity is for the building of bikes for peoplestraveling uses, and also to create an organic bike industry in Africa as well. This will bothincrease traveling efficiency, and create new jobs, while being resourceful.
2) Objective/ Purpose:
To create awareness in the public of the project itself, and to let people know that theycould, and how to, donate to the project.
3) Target audience:
Our target audience is affluent, wealthier people, especially recreational bikers, interestedin investing “for the soul,” and doing good for people in need.
4) Central Statement:
Bamboo bikes are a way to not only help people in Africa transport goods and peoplemore efficiently, but also to invest in the wellbeing of its citizens by creating stable jobs,and supporting its economy.
5) Reasoning/ Facts:
Bicycles are the chief mode of transportation is third world countries (for goodsand people)
Without easy transportation the citizens of underprivileged countries have limited job opportunities, trade in the country is nearly impossible, and health conditionsare poor.
Many bikes currently being used in poor countries are ones made for leisure and paved streets.
Bamboo and other organic materials that are used for Bamboo Bikes, are plentifulin these areas (Africa), and much cheaper to use than carbon fiber or aluminum.
