As I was preparing this issue of In the Loop, it occurred to me that my format has not changed since I started in 2003. I could not commit one word to thepage until I changed the format. Let me know what you think. I am open tosuggestions as to how the newsletter may be improved to meet your needs.
Funding Sources
Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP)
CMAP has compiled a list of fund sources for projects and programsintended to improve walking and bicycling conditions and to increase thesafety of travel by these and other modes. Strategies to improve bicycle andpedestrian safety, mobility, and accessibility can include:1.
 
Infrastructure improvements,2.
 
Enforcement measures, policies, and recommendations3.
 
Walmart State Giving Program(Application period begins June1)
The Foundation has adopted four areas of focus: Education, WorkforceDevelopment / Economic Opportunity, Health and Wellness, andEnvironmental Sustainability. The Walmart Foundation encourages fundingrequests that align with its four areas of focus

File Annual Reports to theSecretary of State. The annualreport is due before the first 
day of the corporation’s
anniversary month each year.The anniversary month is themonth in which thecorporation was formed. Forexample, if the date of incorporation was Sept. 15, theanniversary month isSeptember and each annualreport is due before the first day of September each year.Forms will be sent to theregistered agent approximately60 days before the due date.Filing Fee: $10.00.
Failure tofile an annual report mayresult in involuntarydissolution of thecorporation.

Starting at 9:30am, EveryBlock followers are hosting their third group clean up.This day of service project is improving our neighborhood and a great way to meet new people.If you are interested in having your neighborshelp you clean a vacant lot in your area, in the 24th Ward, come out andjoin the crew, and get onto the cleaning schedule. First priority will begiven to people who actively participate in cleaning other lots.
