Barack Obama’sRules for RevolutionThe Alinsky Model
“We are five days away from fundamentallytransforming the United States of America.”
- Barack Obama, election eve, 2008
Barack Obama is an enigma. He won the 2008 presidential election claiming to be a moderate andwanting to bring Americans together and governfrom the center. But since he took office, his actionshave been far from moderate. He has apologized toforeign dictators abroad for sins he alleges his owncountry committed and appointed a self-describedcommunist (Van Jones) and an admirer of MaoZedong to top White House posts. He has used theeconomic crisis to take over whole industries and hasattempted to nationalize the health care system. In hisfirst nine months in office, these actions had alreadymade his presidency one of the most polarizing inhistory.
