MAY 30, 2011 IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY.

PARENT COMMITTEE MEETING: May 23, 2011 at Housing Building at 5:15 pm.

Junior High graduation is May 25, 2011-7:00 pm at Burns High School gym.

The end of the school year is June 09, 2011.

Seniors last day of school is June 01, 2011. High School graduation is June 03, 2011 at 7:30 pm.

They are proposing the development of a Solar Power Park for the various Allotments. This could possibly mean an increase in the payment of leases that we receive for the leasing of the Allotments.

The Community Wellness Coach (CWC) will conduct training programs with a primary emphasis in providing Cultural Competency as well as trainings specific to Social Services such as Domestic Violence, Anger Management, Conflict Resolution and parenting using Skill building. The goal is to enhance the awareness of care, education, and maintain a quality of standards for people of the Burns Paiute Tribe and its employees. CWC trainings will be culturally based and incorporate the traditions, beliefs and practices of the Burns Paiute Tribe.

Bid Solicitation for Paving Project by the Health and Gathering Center

The Tribal Transportation Planning Office has been approved to announce the Bid Solicitation for the Paving Project near the Gathering and Health Centers.

Deadline for prospective bidders is set for June 1 st, 2011. We ate hoping to begin the construction in the second or third week of June. This will cause some interruption of health care services to patients, and for activities planned at the Gathering Center. We will be discussing with Health staff to eliminate the least interruption for all persons utilizing both buildings.

• Must have high school diploma or GED

Positcon Overview

Irrigate farmland located South of Lower Housing on Foley Drive move wheel lines as needed or directed by farmland designee. Does related work as required and assigned

TASKS:

1. Operates mover according to directions and safety, checks pipes to make sure they are empty before moving to next riser.

2. Makes sure wheel line is straight and connected to main line hose then to the wheel line before opening valve to direct water.

3. Starts motor that pumps water through system, and opens valves to direct water.

4. Observes rate of flow, and adjusts valves to ensure uniform distribution of water.

5. Disassembles portable system, and moves to next location after specified time intervals.

6. Lays out pipe along designated settings, and attaches sprinkler heads at specified points.

7. Connects pipe to pipe system, using hand tools.

8. Shovels and packs dirt in low spots.

9. Patrols area to detect leaks, breaks! weak areas, or obstructions and damage to irrigation system.

10. Writes reports and keeps records of deliveries, users, quantity of time spent, condition of system and equipment, or repairs needed.

11. Lubricates, adjusts, and repairs or replaces parts to maintain system, using hand tools.

Iinvitation for Public Commen~

The Safety Committee has proposed the Worker's . Compensation Cost Containment Program policy for review and public comment.

The provisions will include public notifications via Tribal newsletter and Tribal website and public meetings/hearings on the proposed Worker's Compensation Cost Containment Program policy. A meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 23. 2011 @ 6:00 pm at the Burns Paiute Tribal Council building to review public comments.

Tribal members and Tribal staff may obtain copies of the proposed policy at the following: Tribal Administration, Tribal Court. and Tribal Council office. Tribal members and Tribal staff may submit written comments and recommendation on the proposed policy in-person to the Tribal Council Secretary-Treasurer, LeAnne Teeman. All written comments must be received by Secretary-Treasurer. LeAnne Teernan, no later than Sprn, on May 20, 2011.
