ANNOUNCEMENTSTimothy Offering
– On Sunday, June 12
th
, Cedar Church willreceive a special Lord’s Supper collection called the “TimothyOffering.” Several Cedar young adults are pursuing ministryopportunities in the OPC to serve as overseas missionary associatesas well as Cedar Church summer volunteers. The session is delightedthat God has honored our prayers and investments in our youth suchthat they wish to serve the church at home and abroad. In a spirit of gratitude, the Cedar Session would like to receive a “TimothyOffering” to help us begin financially assisting these young membersof our congregation for ministry within the OPC. Please prayerfullyconsider how you can support the spirit of service among our youngpeople.
Cedar Jr. High Campout & Hike
– On June 12-15, Pastor Steveand Lynn will take our Cedar Jr. High Youth Group on a camping &hiking retreat to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore andTahquamenon Falls. Cost: $30. Information & packing list was sentout by email out last week! All interested students and their parentsshould register with Pastor Steve or Lynn this week!
Cedar Senior High Can Collection
- The senior high will be doing aPop can collecting event on May 30 to help fund their mission trip. If you want to donate any cans you can bring them to church.
ANNOUNCEMENTSSummertime Groups
– Each summer, Cedar takes a well earnedbreak from our midweek groups and ministries. However,summertime weather gives our church an opportunity to plan funactivities that wouldn’t otherwise work during other semesters.Combine your desire to be out in the sun, meet new friends, learnmore about God and have some fun, and you get
summer timegroups.
So far, three summer time groups have sprung, and moreare on the way.
Beach Days
will be hosted by Lynn Igo onThursday afternoons from 1-4 PM at Holland State Park. JoinPastor Steve for
Hike Nights
on Friday evenings at 7 PM invarious awesome county parks in Ottawa County.
Girls BibleStudy
will be hosted by Elizabeth Van Dyke this summer for junior and senior high girls. Watch the bulletin for moreinformation. If you would like to host a summer time group,please see Pastor Steve for more information.

Summer Quarter for Kids Begins June 12
– From June 12 –July 31, our Kids Sunday School will experience some excitingsummertime variety. Our traditional classes for kids will shiftgears into an 8 week summertime ministry - called
CatechismClub
- for kids who are age 4 through 6
th
grade (just completed)and will meet in the gymnasium for games, activities, crafts,stories, Bible memory and catechism studies. This year, our seniorhigh youth group (with help from their Sunday School adultteachers!) will lead our summer club to gain experience for theirNavajo Mission Trip on July 22. In
‘Q & A about God 
’, studentswill learn all about one God in three persons, that he iseverywhere, knows all things, and can do all His holy will. Yourkids won’t want to miss it.

– On June 10-12,post-high young adults (& graduating seniors) from across thepresbytery are invited to a weekend campout on the back dunesand hardwood forest of Muskegon State Park in WesternMichigan. Pastor Bob Van Manen (Little Farms OPC) will jointhe campers, leading them in Bible Study, and prayer time. LittleFarms OPC will host the young adults for the closing worshipservice and fellowship meal at their church in Coopersville onSunday morning. Cost of the trip is $25/participant.
