Welcome to the very frst issue o Technode,
a new technology magazinerom the team behind the echDigest and Shiny Shiny websites. In it you’ll nd round ups o what we think are the hottest gadgets o the summer, a look at how disruptive 4G technology could be to the mobilephone industry, a glance at the uture o digital art and a whole lot more.Rewind a minute though. So what is a web company doing producinga magazine? Why not just put the stories on your sites?Well, we elt that there were some stories we wanted to write whichwould be much better served by a magazine ormat because they were lon-ger reads. Tere was also a series o stories - all ocusing on the immediateuture o technology - that we thought would sit well together in one publi-cation. Lastly the introduction o the iPad and other tablets PCs has changedmagazines so they no longer have to ollow a rigid pattern. It is early daysor us or but as time goes by we hope to play a real role in re-inventing techpublications. Tere’ll be a lot more ashy stu next time.Te best part o all though is that echnode will be available in a num-ber o ormats. You can grab a ully interactive version o the mag i you ownan iPad. Alternatively download a PDF version and read it on your PC oryour mobile device. Or i you want to read the eatures in the bath there’salways the printed version courtesy o our partners at Magcloud.Oh, and unless you buy the printed version, or which there’s a ee tocover print costs, echnode is completely ree.I you have enjoyed this then issue two o echnode will be availablesometime during the summer and will mainly ocus on technology and howit is changing the car. Until then...
