Instructions:
1 Print pattern pieces. 9 Fold the edge of the larger tube over the elastic and
press. Then fold this back halfway. Press again. Repeat
2 Cut out fabric. on the other side.

3 Fold Piece A in half lengthwise, with the right sides of the
fabric facing each other. Pin along the edge. Sew a ½“
seam along the edge to form a tube.
4 Turn the tube right-side-out. Press flat so that the seam is
in the middle of the back side of the tube.
5 Top stitch along the length of tube ¼” from each edge.
6 Cut a piece of elastic that is 6 ½“ long. Using a pen,
make a mark ¾” from each end of the elastic.
7 Place ¾“ of the elastic into one end of the tube i.e.
up to the pen marking. Make sure that the elastic is in
the middle of the tube – there should be 1” on either
side of the elastic. Pin in place. Secure the elastic to the
tube by stitching in the vertical direction and then the
horizontal direction to form a cross.
10 Thread the elastic through the smaller tube.
11 Place the large tube over the smaller tube and stitch in
place across the width.
12 Take the loose end of the elastic and place ¾“ of the
elastic (i.e. up to the marking on the elastic) into the
tube. As in step 7, secure the elastic to the tube
by stitching in the vertical direction and then the
horizontal direction to form a cross.
13 As in step 9, fold the edge of the tube over the elastic
and press. Then fold it back halfway and press. Repeat
on the other side.
14 Place the large tube inside the smaller tube with about
¾“ of overlap. Pin in place. Secure by stitching across
the width. Be sure to stitch back and forth a few times.

8 Fold Piece B in half lengthwise, with the right sides of

the fabric facing each other. Pin along the edge. Sew a
½“ seam along the edge to form a tube. Turn tube right
side out. Press flat so that the seam is in the middle of
the back side. Fold ½“ inch of the end of the tube and
tuck it inside to form a clean edge. Repeat on the other
side.
