What to do when you are ill
Students under 18 have to be reported ill by the
parents per email to the study coach with a cc to
ms Coulombe before 10.00 AM
Students that are 18 or older have to report ill by
email to the study coach with a cc to ms Coulombe
before 10.00 AM
On the first day you return to school after having
been ill, you must fill in an official “return from
illness” form. This is very important as these details
count towards your official record of attendance .

excused absence
Unavoidable medical appointments
you are to ask permission by handing in "an
absence request form" to your mentor a
minimum of two days before the scheduled

Religious observance
Students who anticipate being absent because
of religious observance must request permission
by filling in the "absence request form" and
returning it to Mr Weissman at least 7 days in
advance. The form can be downloaded from

obtained from the international stream office..
request exceptional leave
If you would like to have special leave due to a
family wedding, funerals, appearance in court,
driving test or other exceptional circumstance
permission needs to be asked in writing to the
Education Manager, Mr Sonneveldt. A special
form for this request can be found on
www.internationalstream.nl
For all of the reasons above, you must attach
evidence to the request - for example, an
appointment card, letter, invitation etc. Absences
will not be authorised if you do not present
proof.
Please contact your mentor as soon as you know
that you are in a situation to have to make this
request, as management needs to know with as
much advance notice as possible to determine if
this will be considered as an unexcused absence
or not.
