Where is the Church in Revelation?
To answer that question we must first define the Church.
Colossians 1:18. And he
is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from thedead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.Ephesians 1:22. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to thechurch,23.Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all inall.1 Corinthians 12:12. For as thebody is one, and hathmany members, andall the membersof thatone body,
beingmany, areone body: so also isChrist.13. For byone
Spiritare weall baptized into one body, whether we be
JewsorGentiles, whether we bebondorfree; and have
been all made to drink into one Spirit.14.For the body isnot one member, butmany.
The reason that there are seven churches listed in Revelation isbecause there are seven different members: Ephusus, Smyrna,Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. The fact that the word Church is not used again after Revelation 3does not prove at all that the Church is raptured before thetribulation begins. Only the Church of Philadelphia, who is the144,000 virgins are spared from the great trial upon the wholeearth while the remnant of Jerusalem are raptured alive afterenduring almost the whole tribulation period. As we read abovefrom the scriptures there are many members of the body which isthe Church, which is of Christ.
