If you are walking in the parade with TCDog group we are to meet on N Cayuga St between LincolnSt and Jay St. That's the block of the big Baptist Church. The festival people are asking us to bethere by 6pm!Remember we will be there a long time so think about your
dog’s
comfort and water needs. The theme this year is A Midsummer
Night’s
Dream so I think ours should be A Midsummer Night At The Dog Park. If you have a costume Wear it. You can make a poster to carry if you'd like. Justcome support our park and most of all HAVE FUN : )Please RSVP to Graciegmpoyer4@gmail.com ) 
From Festival Organizers:
Please read the following guidelines carefully and share with all members of your group. These are mostly about safety for the 8-10,000 Ithacans, many very young, who will be in or watching the Parade.
 
PARADE ASSEMBLY 
  All vehicles must be in place before the traffic barricades go up at 5:30 pm; pedestriansshould arrive by 5:45 pm. Only vehicles that are in the Parade are allowed to park on thesestreets, and all trailers must be properly registered and licensed.Beginning at 6:00 pm there will be a series of 1-mile races along Cayuga Street. Pedestrianson Cayuga must remain OFF of the north-bound lane at this time. Your staging sites are allon the southbound side.
 
 There will be numbered signs at each staging site, and Parade staff at each entrance to helpyou find your spot.
 
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRIVERS
 
 Vehicles with staging sites on Cayuga Street should enter Cayuga Street from LincolnStreet. Vehicles for EAST Lewis or EAST Jay Streets should enter from Utica Street, while
 
those on WEST Lewis or WEST Jay Streets enter from Auburn Street. Parade staff at eachentrance will assist you.
 
 At DeWitt Park all vehicles must turn LEFT onto Buffalo Street. Be especially careful atthis turn
 – 
it usually is dense with onlookers. Please stay in formation until you pass theboundary of DeWitt Park. Do not stop your vehicles on Buffalo St, as this arrests progressfor the Parade groups behind you. If you need to unload passengers, either pull briefly tothe side of Buffalo St. or proceed east and turn left onto Tioga Street. If you have specialneeds persons who need to be escorted, you can discharge them in the large parking lotbehind the Courthouse.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL PARADE PARTICIPANTS
 
KEEP YOUR GROUP MOVING FORWARD and stay as close as safely possible to thegroup ahead of you. If gaps open in front of you, speed up and close them. Remember, wehave 2100 participants in the Parade this year, and it is a school night for many participantsand onlookers. We need to keep moving!DO NOT THROW ANYTHING from trucks, autos, or floats, or from the middle of thestreet. Ithaca Police will issue tickets to your driver and you will be excluded from futureParades. If you want to distribute anything to the audience you must have walkers close tothe sidewalks.
FOOD AND FACILITIES
 The kind congregation of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, at the corner of Cayuga andLincoln Streets, will again be serving cold drinks and light refreshments. Also, they haveoffered access to their restroom facilities. There will be concession stands selling hot foodand also a full line of great Ithaca Festival t-shirts.
 
 WEATHER ALERTS
 
 The Ithaca Police monitor weather channels and make the determination of when conditionsare unsafe. High winds or lightning are hazardous; rain alone is not. Each group must havea simple evacuation plan in the event the Parade is cancelled during staging ormarching. This means that each adult is responsible for monitoring the children in theirgroup and having a designated place to meet the parents/guardians. IPD and Parade Staf will assist as needed.
 
SUPPORT THE PARADE
 
Each of you and your performers will have an opportunity to present your music, show yourbanners, and boost your interests to 6-7,000 onlookers. Except for corporate sponsors, it isfree. But the Parade and Festival are not without costs. Our primary source of revenue is
