a community leader who died fighting drug dealing on the block. Maria HernandezPark is already a popular skate spot. The entire central circle is skateable, with smooth block paving, existing functionalledges, and planters. The central plaza
is 150’ diameter, with park benches and trees lining the perimeter.The stage’s
functional ledge (below left) is a popular spot.Maria Hernandez Park has basketball & handball courts, fields, playgrounds, bathrooms and a simple open design.
