 Directions:Print off a copy of your resume and cover letter. You need to have a parent/guardian and a someone else look over your resume and cover letter according to the checklist. They must sign at theend to get credit. Place a ³

in the box if the resume and cover letter satisfies the standard.
CONTACT INFORMATION/LETTERHEAD: This is the first item on the resume. It should containyour name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
 
 Name is at least two font sizes larger the rest of words on resume.Address information is the same font size as the main body text.Use a professional email address.EDUCATION:Listed GPA if it is 3.0 or higher.Included high school information within the past two years.List only the month and day of graduation.EXPERIENCE/EMPLOYMENT:Listed the name of the company, title of my position, date of employment, city, and state for eachexperience.Consistently used the same way to describe dates: all months, seasons, or only years.Detail what you have done and accomplished using action verbs.Experience is listed in chronological order starting at the most recent.Use correct tense. Present tense for tasks you are currently performing and past tense for tasks youare no longer performing.APPEARANCE:
Use consistent formatting
- indentation, capitalization, font, style, spacing, with 1 inch margins onall sides
