The 2011 Global Open Water Swimming Conference will be held June 17 – 19 in New York.
A global gathering of open water swimming athletes, including world champions, celebrated soloists, world-record holders, Olympic gold medalists, coaches, administrators, officials, physicians, researchers, scientists,documentary directors, writers and enthusiasts.Attendees can take part in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame induction ceremonies at theUnited Nations, attend the World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year, World Open WaterSwimming Man of the Year and World Open Water Swimming Women of the Year award ceremonies andobserve the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim as well as be inspired by many of the world’s greatest modern-day adventurers.10% of fees will go to Swim Free™ (swimfree.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to health improvementof children and adults through swimming.
