Using Symbolism • Symbolism is using an object to represent something else. • Sometimes, this is obvious – showing a lock to represent feeling trapped. • Sometimes, it can be very obscure. • What is key in your projects is that the symbolism has significance for you. • REMEMBER… SYMBOLISM RULE 1:
It’s not the author’s intentions
