Districtfundsearmarkedfor"youthbaseballprograms"to
be
secretlydivertedtoentitiesthat
he
controlledandto
be
spentinsubstantial
part
forhispersonalbenefit,including
$58,575.20
foraluxurysportutilityvehiclethatwasultimatelytitledinhisownname.TheDistrictseekstorecovercompensatory,punitive,andtrebledamages,pluscivilpenalties,costs,
and
attorney'sfees,fordivertedDistrict.grantfunds.Inaddition,theDistrictseeks,as
parenspatriae,
torecoverdivertedcharitablefundsforthebenefitofthegeneralpublic.

presidentofTeamThomas,aDistrictofColumbianonprofitcorporation.6.DefendantHLTTeamThomaslSwingaway,LLC("HLTDevelopment")wasorganizedbyThomasin2004asaDistrictofColumbialimitedliabilitycompany.Thecompanyhasalsobeenknownas"HLTDevelopment,"andithasmaintainedacheckingaccount
