Afteraverywarmreceptionandintroduction,theMinisterspokeopenlyaboutthesituationthattookplaceinMarchandalsoabouttheactualeventsthatoccurred.Withobvioussincerity,theMinisterexplainedthatinitiallypeacefulproteststurnedquicklyintoaveryaggressivesituationbythoseinvolved,whichsawbrutalattacksonthepolice,resultinginfourpolicemenbeingkilledand180injuredandwithsignificantdamageonBahrain'sstreets.Membersofthepublicwereinjured.Ahospitalwasalsotargetedbyprotesters,whichimpededtheadmittanceofinjuredpeople,aswellasregularemergencypatientsnotcaughtupintheprotests,resultedinyetfurthercasualties.Thissituationpushedpolicetoactforciblyinordertorestoresecuritybut,inhisview,withhindsight,perhapsoverreactedinresponsetothemountingaggressionoftheprotestors.Afterfivedays,stabilitywasrestoredandthesituationreturnedtoanormal.
