Agile Coach Camp is a non-profit conference where coaches come to

network and develop ideas and practices for enhancing Agile Software
Development. It’s an Open Space, a self-organizing, highly participative
conference for leaders and aspiring leaders in the industry.

Agile Coach Camp is truly a special venue for Agilistas. As an Open Space
event, there are zero speakers; only participants. Everyone that is attending
is passionate about learning more through shared experiences. The
agenda is set by the coaches attending and facilitated by an experienced
facilitator. The conversations that occur are powerful and deepen
everyone’s understanding.

Agile Coach Camp not only enriches the coaches participating, but the Agile
community as well. New ideas and concepts are often developed and the
activities are captured for posterity on-line.

Anyone that is currently or interested in becoming an Agile Coach, one who

helps others take up the mantle of the Agile Manifesto. Agile Coach Camp
is for any of the following:

o Thought leaders looking to develop or try out new ideas.

o New coaches who have been thrust into helping others adopt Agile
Principles and Practices.
o Experienced coaches who wish to network and share experiences and
problems that have encountered.
This year, we decided to add even more fun to the Camp by adding an
optional Games Day on the day before. Games Day you say? It’s learning
through play!

The Games Day will have experienced Agilistas helping other coaches learn
some great games (or if you prefer exercises) that they can use to help their
teams. These are divided along 4 different tracks:

o Games for Learning (Teaching Agile)

o Games for Innovation (Helping to Develop Ideas)
o Games for Retrospectives (Team Learning)
o Games for Personal Mastery (Developing A Better Understanding of You
& Your Environment)

Since we added the Games Day, we thought the theme should reflect the
fun attitude and the true spirit of a Camp; this year’s theme is “Get Some
S’mores”, a play on word of that favorite campfire treat. So come on out
and Get S’more Learning, S’more Sharing, and S’more Fun!

And just as you would at a Camp, we expect that you will deepen your
knowledge and connections with other Agilistas. We’ve set an action for
this Camp to become the annual jamboree of activity for Agile Coaches and
that participants will be energized to create smaller troops of connected
coaches to help each other.

We have established a nominal amount for the Camp of $20, just to help
offset costs. If after the Camp is completed and there are remaining funds,
these will be donated to the charities that Agile Philanthropy supports: Mano
a Mano, which helps the needy in Bolivia, and Haiti Partners, which helps
instill democracy and education in the Haitian population (and since the
Earthquake, basic needs as well). We also plan to support a local Ohio
charity.

If you want to also attend the Games Day, we’ve added an additional $40 to
the ticket price. And lastly, if you would like a nice polo shirt with the new
Agile Coach Camp 2011 logo, it will be another $40.

All options will be established as differing ticket prices that will be on our
EventBrite registration site.

In addition, we plan to have a silent auction of great stuff to benefit our

charities as well.
See you there!
