Cedar Church will receive a specialLord’s Supper collection today called the “Timothy Offering.”Several Cedar young adults are pursuing ministry opportunities in theOPC to serve as overseas missionary associates as well as CedarChurch summer volunteers. The session is delighted that God hashonored our prayers and investments in our youth such that they wishto serve the church at home and abroad. In a spirit of gratitude, theCedar Session would like to receive a “Timothy Offering” to help usbegin financially assisting these young members of our congregationfor ministry within the OPC. Please prayerfully consider how youcan support the spirit of service among our young people.
Summer Quarter for Kids Begins Today
– Catechism Club (forkids who are age 4 through 6
th
grade) will meet in the gymnasium forgames, activities, crafts, stories, Bible memory and catechism studies.This year, our senior high youth group (with help from their SundaySchool adult teachers!) will lead our summer club to gain experiencefor their Navajo Mission Trip on July 22. In
‘Q & A about God 
’,students will learn all about one God in three persons, that he iseverywhere, knows all things, and can do all His holy will. Your kidswon’t want to miss it.

Car Wash – Mission Trip Fund Raiser
- Come on over andallow us to put a brand new gleam on your favorite ride! There willbe a car wash on Saturday, June 18 from 9:00 – 2:00 at the ZionChristian School parking lot. The funds raised will go towards twoOPC missions’ projects; the New Mexico mission tripled by CedarOPC and the Chattanooga mission trip led by Harvest OPC. Cookout/Bonfire -
You know it’s summer when you can smellhamburgers on the grill; listen for the slap on the football justbefore it’s thrown “go deep!”; hear the crackle of the bon fire assome unsuspecting person’s ooey-gooey marshmallow drops intothe fire – bursting into flame; hear kids’ voices squealing in thebackground on a warm Saturday evening. Come on over to enjoysweet fellowship and relax to all of these sights, sounds, and smellsof summer! You are all welcome at the Baker’s home onSaturday, June 25 from 5:30 until…whenever! Skateboarding
- Hillcrest CRC of Hudsonville will againprovide supervised skateboarding and in-line skating for kids whowant a safe place to skate. The program will run every THURSDAYevening from 6:30 - 9:00 PM, this summer. Skating is open to 3rdgrade through high school - both boys and girls. Free snacks anddrinks are provided. Skating is cancelled in case of rain. Registrationand parent-signed forms are required for first-time skaters. COMEand JOIN OTHER SKATERS FOR FUN SUMMER THURSDAYS!

– Come join Pastor Steve & friendsthis Friday, June 17 at 7:30 PM for an evening river hike at Hemlock Crossing Park, 239 acres of woods and wetlands along the PigeonRiver. Trails meander through bottomland and upland forest, old pineplantations and along the river. A pedestrian bridge and numerousoverlooks offer scenic views of the river corridor, wetlands, naturalsprings and woods. If interested, you can enjoy a free “tour of thenight sky” at 9:30 PM, compliments of the Shoreline AmateurAstronomy Club, who will set up telescopes, weather permitting.Meet Pastor Steve at the trailhead by the visitor center!

 will host a summer carnival for residents of Presidential Estates inHudsonville on Saturday, July 16

We need both adult and teenvolunteers from area churches to help run our food and game booths!If you are interested, please see Kari DeVries or Pastor Steve.Residents will enjoy great food (hotdogs, popcorn, ice cream, snowcones) and great games (moon walk, water balloons, face painting,bean bag toss, bucket ball, ring toss, basketball toss). Pastor Stevewill also present a gospel message with paint brush and easel board!Please pray and volunteer for God to do great things for his kingdomin our community.
