SECONDARY COMPLAINTs

A sticking lockup relay control sleeve prevents TCC apply or release. Sleeve wear reduces converter pressure, overheating the fluid, and results in bushing and solenoid failure.

COrrection
The tightly toleranced, drop-in replacement Sonnax valve and sleeve assembly restores proper hydraulic clearances, provides greater valve support, and uses upgraded materials to prevent wear.

Features & Benefits Sleeve is manufactured from highly wear-resistant billet aluminum. Sleeve has been redesigned to eliminate rotational indexing issues and provide flow 360 around the valve to prevent side loading. Sleeve design incorporates grooves and cross-slots to maximize valve support while maintaining proper flow. Valve is made from hard-coat anodized aluminum to prevent wear.

You need this if A vacuum test of the sleeve assembly (while in the bore at the outboard converter feed port indicated) gives less than 18" of vacuum, or if a Wet Air Test at the same location results in leakage at the neighboring exhaust port on the opposite side of the casting.
