The Very Hungry Caterpillar

One summer night a little egg laid on a leaf. The next morning the sun came up and

Pop! Out came out a tiny and

very hungry caterpillar. She

started to look for some food...

On the first (1st) day, she ate

through one (1) plum.

But she was still hungry

On the second (2nd) day, she

ate through two (2) apples.

But she was still hungry

On the third (3rd) day, she ate

through three (3) oranges.

But she was still hungry

On the fourth (4th) day, she ate

through four (4) strawberries.

But she was still hungry

On the fifth (5th) day, she ate

through five (5) pears.

But she was still hungry

On the sixth

th) (6

day, she ate

through six (6) slices of

watermelon. But she was still hungry

On the seventh (7th) day, she ate

through seven (7) pieces of cake.

But she was still hungry

On the eighth (8th) day, she

ate through eight (8) pickles.

But she was still hungry

On the ninth (9th) day, she

ate through nine (9)

slices of cheese

That night she had a

BIG stomachache!

On the tenth (10th) day, she

ate through ten (10) leaves

and she felt much better

The little caterpillar wasnt

hungry anymore and she

wasnt little either

She was a BIG fat caterpillar!

She built a small house around

herself called a cocoon. She

stayed inside for more than two (2) weeks.

Then she nibbled a hole in the

cocoon, pushed her way out

and

She was a beautiful butterfly!!
