1. Co-operation with the U.N.O and other international agencies in maintaining peace. The first world war was ended in 1918 leaving behind imense destruction.The Laegue Of Nations was failed in its main objectives to maintain peace.Towards the End of world War11,the need for a stronger organization of countries was felt urgently.The name of U.N.O was suggested by president Franklin D Roosevelt of USA.

The idea behind establishing this world body was to safeguard the coming generation from the destruction of war and establish peace on the principles of equality of nations. UNO came into existence on 24th Oct,1945. Pakistan has constantly endeavored to improve relations with UN .Pakistan believes in democracy and ideals throughout the world. 2. It has regarded the problem of the muslim world as its own problem and has always offered help and co-operation to solve them. 3. Sovereign state.The countries participated in this conference were Pakistan Bharat China Srilanka Yugoslavia The NAM movement was founded in Belgrade in 1961 The purpose of this organization was the national independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of non allign countries in their struggle against imperialism colonialism racism and all forms of foreign aggression and interference as well as great power and block politics Sukarno has given a significant contribution to promote this movement The attending nations declared their desire not to become involved in the cold war and adopted a declaration on promotion of world peace and cooperation

The era was marked with polarization between the socialist block let by soviet union and capitalist block led by USA The NAM is a group of third world countries who wish to be independent of the super powers Pakistan became a member of NAM conference in 1979 sice then the policy of NAM has developed into an important stand of Pakistan foreign policy.

4.Friendly relations with muslim countries Pakistan has to keep friendly relations with all nations of the muslim world so as to met its requirements in different fields of social and economic . Pak became a member of the UN in 1947 and is actively participating in the activities of the UN and has always worked to make it more active. pakistan has always held that international disputes shouid be settled through negotiations rather than in the battle field and arm conflicts should be avoided as far as possible.
