The effort is media neutral,embraces electronic sources and they are centralizing the offices involved. Records Management isfollowing a retention schedule which meets federal requirements. They are actively seeking a balance between minimum requirements and not taking too much time. Out of our permanentrecords, 3-5% are archival. They are working on producing a protocol manual and are interviewingdepartments to see what they need and how they can help free storage space.
