I spoke with Chris Shannon at True Value, who talked with me for a few minutes about the whole situation. Basically he did not want to commit to either side. He is not on the list of contributors to any party. I'm not sure what criteria is needed, but I'll probably continue to shop there.
Even though Shopko is a Wisconsin-based company, with over 50 retail stores in the state, and is dependent upon their customers, generally middle-class working families, Shopko does not, as an organization, support political candidates, political parties, political action committees or partisan causes.
Culvers of CP contacted. They belong to restaurant association which contributed to Walkers campaign but the owner made a statement about their commitment to the public worker, the importance of our schools to them and how important their employees are to them. He also called the owner to ask about contributions and encouraged the owner of all Culvers to make a statement to the grocers association. Choosing to remain neutral Choosing to remain neutral

Perhaps the most contested business on our list for Fond du Lac. Until the owners themselves contact this site, they will remain on the neutral list
Dr. Mauthe(dentist) did respond back to me regarding his position on Workers' Rights via my answering machine. He was a contributor to both Walker and Hopper's campaign. He did state to me that he was in favor of balancing the state budget, but does not agree with the way they are going about it. He said they did not mention this in their campaigns and said he was disturbed by what is going on. Personal contact

Visited on 15 MAR 2011 and dropped off one card and one poster. Manager on duty Lynn said he would pass the info onto the main manager and had to excuse himself because he was busy. Friendly, but did not make any comment for or against. While I was waiting to speak to him, the customer service desk manager (forgot her name) indicated that the store is employee owned and knew of the pledgetospend.com site and was a supporter. Indicated that the Madison Fire Department, which normally shops at the eastside Woodman's, had contacted Phil Woodman about the donation to Walker and his response was "Do what ya gotta do" so now Madison Fire is shopping at Hy-vee. Did see one onduty firefighter while shopping there today, along with many shoppers sporting pro-union/ anti-Walker buttons.
JJ supplied coffee and other food to the first rally at least and I think the second.
Letter to legislator, Signed letter to local newspaper in support of Workers Rights, support on my website. The WI Realtors Association is the #3 contributor to the Walker Fund. I have let my voice be heard by the Asso. I want people in the State of WI to know there are good Realtors in WI that do not support Walker, that have not contributed a dime to his fund. Please ask your Realtor who they support. If they support Walker, contact me and I can help you find one that supports workers rights. By the way, both my parents, grandparents and uncles were teachers, plus many family members were in various unions. It is time that our voice be heard!
I am one of the owners of Queen Anne's Catering in Madison. We sent a email to Johnsonville sharing with them that we have purchased and promoted their Wisconsin products for the last 21 years. Last year we bought 2,600 pounds of brats alone from them. We shared that we would be switching to another Wisconsin product

Feels he needs to remain neutral, said, "I'm sorry. I hope you understand."
You don't have to be a union employee in the public sector to know that eliminating state workers' rights is bad for Wisconsin. Before beginning my own business I was a state employee myself and I intimately understand the importance of a collective voice for some of our state's most vital employees. As a private sector employee it is my responsibility to stand up for the people that keep our state running every day. The current majority holders in this state want to gain newfound power by dividing the people of our state and pitting the private sector against the public sector and now, more than ever, we need solidarity. Pledge card delivered 3/11/11
The worker said I would need to send it to the store, attn. LOD, so I did
