Rapid Play Battlefield Card Game

This is a simple two player card game that is an abstract depiction of twoarmies facing each other on the battlefield. It can either be played as a simpletwo player card game, or as a sub-game to a more complex wargame – say acampaign where you wish to resolve minor battles without resorting to settingout model soldiers.Each game only takes a couple of minutes.
A standard pack of playing cards with the jokers.
Shuffle the pack.Deal ten cards to each player and place the remaining cards in a stack facedown on the table.
Each player looks at their cards and decides on their battleline of five spaces,each with one or two cards(see later), which are placedface down in a line oppositethe other player’s face downbattleline.All cards not placed areretained in the hand.In the battleline, one or twocards may be placed – if twocards are placed their totalface value may not exceed10.Face values for Ace, KingQueen and Jack is always 10Face value for the Joker is 15
