Dear Friends,I have a question or you. What are youhoping or? What are you expecting in lie?Are you looking or something good to happenor are you expecting to be disappointed? Somany people are eeling hopeless these days. However, Jesus did not die or us to be hopeless. He died so that we could be
o hope. What is hope? It’s simply a avorable andcondent expectation; it’s looking orward withanticipation o something good. Hope is whatkeeps us rom giving up during hard times. We are celebrating our nation’s IndependenceDay this month. As part o this observance, weremember many brave men and women whospent their lives ghting or independence, all the while
to see great change orour country. The psalmist wrote,
[What, what would have become o me] had I not believed that  I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land o theliving!
(Psalm 27:13). I wonder what would havebecome o our nation i these men and womenhad stopped believing they’d see change. Whati they had given up hope? What i we were togive up hope today?I’m sure the devil lied to them then just as helies to us now. I something good is happeningin our lives, he’ll tell us it’ll never last. I we’restruggling through some dicult situation,he’ll tell us it will never end. You and I haveto remember that the devil is a liar!
can change—everything except God!Our Father is good, and He has good plansor each o our lives. I we will maintain ourhope, especially in the midst o troubled anduncertain times, He has promised us “doubleor our trouble” (see Zechariah 9:12).So reuse to give up hope. Start expectingGod to do something—something good! He
working in your lie. Sure, you may go throughtimes when you wonder will things ever change. But that’s what
is allabout. Maintain an attitudeo expectancy. Believe thatGod is working. It doesn’tcost you anything to hope, but it can cost an awul lotto be hopeless. Don’t letthe enemy convince youthat what is going on right now will always beas it is—whether good or bad.Believe that no matter what is going on in your lie, it
change. So, keep your hope inthe Lord, who
change (see Hebrews 13:8),and watch everything work out or good! (SeeRomans 8:28.)There’s power in hope!Love,
