ur electricity has recently been cut because we can’t
pay R12000.00 a month. But we are positive, weknow God is in control of our lives and our ministry.
It’s a bit uncomfortable because the people mustcarry buckets of warm water from the “donkey” to take a bath,
they must use candles for light and they must do their washingwith their hands. We want to thank Janet Botma from our Virginia centre, for themoney she gave to buy a generator so that we can have somelights in our reception area and for the freezers. We also received gas bottles and heaters for the crèche and thedinning room.We want to thank the community for their help, support and prayers towards our ministry.

few of our residents were privileged to visit the cir-cus, and a lot of them for the first time in their lives. We
want to thank Brian Boswell’s circus for making it possi-
ble for the past 7 years for our residents to visit the circus.
No one is promised tomorrow
N
one of us are promised to-morrow , we are all like tentsand while we are on earth our tent pens are pulled out one by oneuntil the last one is pulled out and we exchange our tent life for amore permanent place in heaven.
These were the words of Pastor Dicky on one of our residents fu-nerals.Ferrie Coetzee was one of the firstresidents at our Bethlehem centre. He passed away 5 June 2011 at theage of 71. Our deepest condo-lences to his family and friends.

ne of the mothers at Eden gave birth to a beautiful babyand we asked the community to help with clothes for the baby. Well, not long after that an elderly lady brought a bag of
baby clothes but before she left she asked whether it’s a black or white baby. We said it’s a black baby. To make a long storyshort, she took the bag, took out a little pink jersey and said, “give this to the baby” and took the rest of the clothes back and
that because it was a black baby and not a white one.I share this with you because I want to point out to you that
Eden are there for anyone that needs help, whether it’s a black
or white, adult or a child. If God sends someone on our way wecannot choose whom to help. Matthew 25 makes it clear that wemust help our brother.
Eden help anyone that needs help
Matthew 25:35-40 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I
was in prison and you came to me.’ 37
Then the righteous will
answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and
feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we seeyou a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39
And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’
40
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you
did it to one of the least of these my brothers,
you did it to me.’
