Migene Gonzalez-Wippler was born in-PuertoRico and has de-grees in psychology and anthropology from the University ofPuerto Rico and from Columbia University. She has worked as a sci-'ence editor for the Interscience Division of John Wiley, the Ameri-can Institute of Physics and the American museum of Natural His-tory in New York, and as an English editor for the United States inVienna, where she lived for many years.
