The film features a punk playing pinball, Beate Nilsen, Ikue Mori, Lydia Lunch, Pat Place, Adele Bertei, and Anya Philips. In Gurillre Talks the filmmakers presence is felt through the expressive camera movements which contribute an energy and intensity to this exploration into female identity and a particular youth scene. The women are each collaborators in their representations, and they perform themselves as people trying to articulate a new relationship to the image of themselves by and for the camera. Libertys Booty 48 mins Super-8 / DVD 1980 An investigation into prositution from a female perspective under a late capitalist economy, it also explores the wider theme of expression and repression of sexual attitudes in America and Ireland. With a dense mix of real testimonies, verit footage and acted out scenarios, this film is mainly an exploration of prostitution and the relationship between sex, power and work. The film alludes to a growing globalisation with its reference to a MacDonalds strike in Dublin and its imagery of Pope Pauls visit to Ireland in 1979 which in retrospect, is seen as marking a final attempt to halt the transformation of Irish society.
